I am interested in musical cognition in children with Specific Language Impairment and in determining the extent to which the impairments of language in this group are mediated by limitations in more generalised cognitive mechanisms. I am particularly interested in whether the grammatical impairments of language, characteristic of SLI, are also reflected in the musical domain.
