About
Véronique Chance is an artist whose practice is mainly photography and video based, but also maintains strong links to sculptural and performance art practices. Her interests lie in the relationship between the physical presence of the body and its presence as a screen image, through which she examines the impact of media technologies on perceptions of the body as a physical presence.
Recent projects include a 150mile run around the inside boundary of the M25 London Orbital over nine consecutive days for the project ‘The Great Orbital Ultra Run’, which was relayed live from her mobile phone to the Stephen Lawrence Gallery, University of Greenwich, London for the exhibition ‘Evil Sport and Ultra Run’ in March 2012. She has recently submitted her PhD thesis in Art for examination at Goldsmiths College, London.
